4th Of July Water Giveaway
Please join Concordia Lutheran Church on Friday, July 4th, as we celebrate the Brentwood community and give thanks to God for all of our military veterans and essential workers. We have plenty of seating areas available (please bring a chair) to watch the firecracker run and the parade. Festivities start at 9:00 AM with the run, following by the parade.
Concordia has participated in the annual parade with floats dating back to the 1950s and 1960s. This year we will be distributing over one thousand bottles of water to both the runners and the parade watchers.
Jesus promises to us all the Living Water in John 7: 37-39.
37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”[a]39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given,[b] because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)
