
Pastor Ronald Cox
Ron Cox was born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan. He attended Concordia University, Ann Arbor Michigan. He completed his pastoral studies at Concordia St. Louis Seminary in 1988.
He was ordained at his first call to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sidney Nebraska.
Later, he served these other congregations: Zion Lutheran Church Presho, South Dakota; Trinity Lutheran Church Reliance, South Dakota; Lighthouse Lutheran Church, Pentwater, Michigan.
Pastor Cox was called by the LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces as a Navy Chaplain. His assignments in the Navy both Active and Reserve Component brought him many places serving Sailors, Marines and their families. He lived several years in Japan, deployed to Afghanistan and Kuwait, and retired with the rank of Commander after 25 years.
Pastor Cox was called as a chaplain to Concordia Lutheran Ministries to provide pastoral care for its retirement living and nursing facilities.
Ron is married to his wife Hoan. They will celebrate their 25th anniversary of marriage and have two sons- Henry, 22 and Roland, 20.
