Our church is an affiliate of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), a denomination known for its adherence to the teachings of Martin Luther and the Lutheran Confessions. As an LCMS congregation, we uphold the doctrinal standards and practices set forth by the Synod, ensuring that our teachings, worship, and community life are consistent with the Bible-based tenets of the LCMS. This affiliation means that our pastors and leaders are trained according to LCMS guidelines, our educational programs reflect the Synod’s theological positions, and our worship services incorporate the liturgical traditions and sacraments as practiced by the LCMS. By aligning with the LCMS, we commit to fostering a community grounded in scriptural truth and the rich heritage of Lutheran doctrine.
These core beliefs shape our worship, teachings, and daily lives as we seek to live out our faith in the world.
Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone)
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the sole authority for faith and life. The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, providing guidance and truth for our beliefs and practices.
Sola Fide (Faith Alone)
We believe that salvation is received through faith alone. It is by faith in Jesus Christ that we are justified and made right with God, not by our own works or efforts.
Sola Gratia (Grace Alone)
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace. It is not something we earn or deserve, but a free gift given to us through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Solus Christus (Christ Alone)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He has accomplished our redemption and reconciled us to God.
The Sacraments
We believe in the importance and efficacy of the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Baptism signifies our inclusion into the body of Christ and the washing away of sins, while Holy Communion is a means of receiving Christ’s true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins and the strengthening of faith.
The Priesthood of All Believers
We believe that all baptized Christians share in the priesthood of Jesus Christ. Each believer has direct access to God and is called to serve Him in various vocations and ministries.
Law and Gospel
We believe in the proper distinction and use of Law and Gospel. The Law reveals our sin and need for a Savior, while the Gospel announces the good news of forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, a community of believers called to worship, fellowship, and service. The Church exists to proclaim the Gospel, administer the sacraments, and nurture the faith of its member
Creeds and Confessions
We uphold the historic creeds and confessions of the Christian faith, such as the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Augsburg Confession, as accurate summaries of biblical teaching.
